HDTV Review: VIZIO E322VL Vs Acer AT3265

Selecting a high definition television can be a challenging task since there are just so many brands to choose from and most of them come with similar features. Before buying your first HDTV, you might want to read the comparison between the VIZIO E322VL and the Acer AT3265 below. These 32-inch 1080p LCD TVs may look alike at first glance, but you will be surprised to know that they are very much different.

VIZIO E322VL

Pros: This HDTV has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and supports 1.06 billion colors. Its full 1080p High Definition resolution provides users with over 2 million pixels, ensuring crystal clear and razor sharp images. For a more comfortable viewing experience, this HDTV allows 178 degrees of rotation, both horizontally and vertically. Its two built-in 10-watt speakers with SRS Audio Technologies (SRS TruVolume and SRS TruSurround) ensure the limitation of volume inconsistency and deliver immersive virtual high-definition surround sound. The VIZIO E322VL is also a streaming HDTV. Connection to the internet is made possible thanks to its integrated Wireless-N Wi-Fi for the included Ethernet port. VIZIO Internet Apps allow users to access content online from Pandora, Netflix, Rhapsody, Amazon Instant Video, VUDU, Yahoo TV Widgets, and many more.

Cons: Unfortunately there have been some complaints about the VIZIO E322VL. Its Pandora app which only works after the user disables the TV's DHCP setting and its USB Port does not support photo viewing (although there is a promise of firmware update to fix this bug). Additionally, there are also complaints about a high-pitched noise when the TV is turned off.

Acer AT3265

Pros: The Acer AT3265 32-Inch HDTV has several resolution settings - 1920 x 1080 (16:9 aspect ratio), HD (1080p, 1080i, 720p), and SD (480p, 480i). Additionally, it features 450 nits brightness, 4000:1 contrast ratio, and 6.5ms response time. With two built-in 10-watt speakers and Dolby Digital support, the HDTV provides users with high-quality digital audio for up to 5.1 discrete channels when viewing content in Dolby Digital format. Thanks to its eColor Management onscreen interface, users can utilize the Empowering Key to control a variety of image settings with a single press. Besides that, users can also switch between the TV and the Computer in an instant with a push of a button

Cons: You will notice that on many major online stores, you can only find second-hand Acer AT3265s as new stock is currently not available. In addition, there are several user complaints regarding the TV's performance Some complaint that the HDMI does not work properly, and others complaint that the TV stopped working after 2 weeks of use. Additionally, since the TV does not come with a remote control, you have to purchase one separately.
